Because everyone seems to have sipped the crazy Koolaid and lost their marbles, could the rest of you please keep an eye out? I'm pissed beyond reason right now, and it must be related. Fucking PMS from HELL! Still, I've got common sense, I think. Anyway, I'm worried about the young kids. If you see any children who seem lost or confused, please bring them to me. Also, if you know someone who has a young child, but haven't seen/heard from that person in the past 24 hours, PLEASE check on them. Make sure they're not a danger to the children or themselves.

Oh, and don't say anything to me that might spark my temper. I could easy murder each and every one of you with my pinky finger. So don't piss me off, because I just spent the last twenty minutes screaming at my television set for no reason. What the fuck is WRONG WITH ME!?

I suppose an announcement is necessary. Not so much to inform you all that I've returned, but that my role here has changed. I'll no longer be teaching. I'd like to devote as much of myself to my daughter as possible. That's what I did while in Thailand, and it was an enlightening experience. That said, I will remain a staff member. I'm going to be offering child care for all students and staff who need it. If you have a child and need someone to watch him/her during the day, please let me know. We'll discuss the child's needs and likes, and then we can arrange a meeting to allow the child to get comfortable with me. I'd be willing to watch some children in the evenings too, though that would always need to be arranged ahead of time, rather than you just dropping off your child during regular day care hours.

Anyway, I have belated Christmas presents for some of you. I hope to deliver most in person, though don't be offended if I simply leave it at your door. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

It isn't easy for me to do this, but I need to take a leave of absence from school. I'm normally not one to walk away from my problems, in fact, I'm more prone to beating them until they surrender. Fenrir's death has taken more of a toll on me than I thought it would, so I'm going to take some time off to regain my focus. I've talked to Nox, and he agreed it would be best if I got away and cleared my head.

I'm heading to Thailand through the holidays. My mentor, Master Wongsa, has agreed to take in me and Karishma. He's always been a positive influence in my life, and I'm hoping he'll help me work through my grief and allow me to be strong again for all of you. As students, you deserve focused and professional teachers, and I'm struggling with both right now. I don't want to be a distraction to my students, or a cause of concern for the other staff members.

There may be times when I'm out of touch, because Master Wongsa has an aversion to technology and often insists I leave my phone turned off, but you're all welcome to leave me messages, and I'll do my best to respond as quickly as possible. In my absence, Mikhail will take over my Inner Beast Control class, as well as the Lycan Club meetings. I've asked Jonah to act as interim coach for Track.

I would love to make this announcement in person to each and every one of you, but it's much easier to address you through our school's journaling system. Some of you are already aware, but most of you are not. I've been working toward adopting a child for some time now, and next week she'll finally be in my care.

Because this will cause a great many changes in my life, I'm going to take a few personal days . For my inner beast control students, you will meet with Mikhail on Wednesday and Friday. He'll also be in charge of the Lycan club meeting on Friday. Track is canceled on Thursday, as are my office hours on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I'll still be here at school, and you're all welcome to contact me with any questions or concerns.

I guess that's it. If you see me around the school next week with an adorable toddler, feel free introduce yourself to my little Karishma.

Because of the full moon, I will not be holding office hours on Wednesday or Thursday. Also, class is optional for students in my Inner Beast Control classes tomorrow. I understand that it is extremely difficult to focus on the day of the full moon, and if you'd rather not attend class, you won't be punished. But please look for healthy means of exerting all that pent up tension, and if you need any help doing so, feel free to contact me. I will resume normal office hours on Friday, and all lycans are expected to attend class that day.

Since all the cool kids seem to be doing it, I thought I'd say hello via the journals. I'm Professor Heather Jao, but you are all welcome to call me Heather. It looks as though we have a healthy influx of new students this semester, so I'd like to welcome all of you. I may not see you in my classes, but there's a very good chance I'll see you around campus.

I teach the beginner and intermediate classes for Inner Beast Control as well as Track. I'm also the staff member in charge of the Lycan club. Some info about me, for those of you who are new, I've been a teacher here for about a year now, and a weretiger for several years. Prior to my decision to become a lycan, I was a professional fighter.

I'm considering starting up a new elective this year, so please let me know if any of you would be interested. We have a wonderful Blades class, but I'd like to offer a class in hand to hand combat for the purpose of self-defense. Also, for those of you interested in getting into fitness, but aren't really sure how to begin, feel free to email or IM me. We can discuss your goals, and I'd even be willing to help you get started with a few personal training sessions.
